We are pleased to announce that Jason Schulz has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. 

Jason brings over two decades of experience in Indigenous business, infrastructure development, strategic investments, and community leadership.

Since 2017, he has served in senior management, where he has been instrumental in advancing major renewable energy initiatives, landmark pipeline partnerships, and long-term infrastructure projects that deliver both economic growth and environmental stewardship. 

Jason is deeply committed to fostering sustainable development and strong partnerships that create lasting value for Indigenous communities. He has played a leading role in transformative projects, including the $1.12 billion Indigenous partnership with Enbridge—the largest Indigenous energy transaction in North American history—as well as the development of three large-scale merchant solar farms and Canada’s first and largest off-grid solar project, Three Nations Energy. Jason also guided negotiations to secure $45.8 million in federal funding for battery energy storage systems, ensuring multigenerational economic benefits. Jason has been successful in negotiating complex infrastructure transactions that represent $5 billion in assets, collectively generating in excess of $30 million in annual revenue.

Beyond his professional achievements, Jason has served as Director, Chair, and President of several Indigenous-led partnerships, was elected Trustee with the Fort McMurray Public School District, and served on the Northern Alberta Development Council. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Regina and an MBA from the University of British Columbia. His international experience includes language and cultural studies in Tokyo, Japan, as well as co-authoring a best-selling English self-study textbook.

He enjoys spending time with his wife, two children and network of friends. He is passionate about the outdoors where his pursuits include hiking, biking, fishing and hunting.
