A broad range of jobs are available through LNG Canada and its subcontractors. These positions span several different fields, including:

Here are some selected positions that may appeal to Gitga’at members and others seeking their next career opportunity.


Equipment Coordinator

This individual handles coordination for rental equipment and rental equipment and assets involved with the construction and maintenance of the LNG Canada project. Intermediate Excel skills are required (used in budgets and forecasting), as is experience with various types of heavy equipment, including excavators, dozers, loaders, and light equipment such as pumps, light towers, AWPs, and welding machines.


Apprentice Painter (All Levels)

This two-week-on, one-week-off family-friendly position provides some compelling benefits, including RRSP matching and excellent medical and dental benefits that start on day one of work. You’ll be blasting and spraying paint and other industrial coatings on various manufactured items. This position comes with the opportunity for advancement as well.


Human Resources Coordinator (Generalist)

This professional will help the organization understand business goals and act as the subject matter expert for human resources. Fostering a high-performing team culture is an important priority, as are empowerment, engagement, quality, and productivity.


Junior Project Coordinator

This motivated individual will help manage timesheets in MS Excel or an in-house system. Additionally, they will help with document control, data archiving, reporting, and documentation. Lastly, they will provide support for general administrative tasks as required.


General Maintenance Technician

Do you enjoy troubleshooting, fixing, and rebuilding things? If yes, this type of job may be for you. The maintenance technician will fix and maintain machines, mechanical equipment, and buildings. Additionally, they will paint, repair flooring, do grounds maintenance, clear snow, and assist skilled tradespersons with various repairs.


Culinary – Pot / Dishwasher

This two-week-on, one-week-off position is well-paying for someone who isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty. Responsibilities include cleaning, washing, and putting away dishes and keeping the area safe and clean.


Deckhand – Tugboat or Transfer Vessel

This hard-working individual will help with the loading and unloading of equipment as well as cargo, both onshore and offshore. Ensuring the safety of passengers is an important priority while they get on and off the boat, as well as during transit. This position also requires security rounds from time to time.


Ironworker

As a skilled tradesperson, you will be fully supported as you continue to build your skills. Key tasks include reading blueprints and specifications, unloading and stacking steel units for hoisting, and installing scaffolding, cranes, derricks, and other equipment.
