For over five years, Gitga’at Development Corporation has proudly partnered with Park Derochie through a successful Joint Venture that reflects the Gitga’at Nation’s commitment to building Economic Prosperity while upholding our responsibilities to Environmental Prosperity in the Great Bear Rainforest.

From the outset, Park Derochie has brought industry-leading skill, professionalism, and safety standards to our projects— hile also demonstrating something equally important: a deep respect for Indigenous governance and community-led priorities. Their approach has been culturally respectful, community-centred, and guided by the values we hold as a Nation.

Our partnership has delivered tangible results. Through Gitga’at Park Derochie, we secured major Industrial Coatings contracts on the LNG Canada project. These contracts not only created high-quality work opportunities, but also generated meaningful revenue that was reinvested into the Gitga’at Oceans and Lands Department, supported the implementation of the Gitga’at Safe Shipping Protocol, and strengthened programs that promote cultural continuity and community wellness.

Park Derochie has been a steady and thoughtful partner throughout this journey. Their clear communication, strategic insight, and attention to detail have contributed to successful outcomes that align with the Gitga’at Nation’s vision for self-determination and long-term sustainability.

As we continue to grow, we are proud of what this partnership represents. It is a model for how industry and Indigenous communities can work together, respectfully and effectively, for mutual benefit and generational impact.

We confidently recommend Park Derochie’s Industrial Coatings services to companies operating in the construction, mining, energy, and municipal sectors.

We look forward to continued collaboration and shared success in the years ahead.
